If you encounter wildlife that has been hit by a car, attacked by a predator, is bleeding, lethargic, unable to fly or move, covered in ants, or showing any signs of distress, please call us at 806‑799‑2142 so we can guide you through safe rescue and transport. Always use gloves and place the animal in a secure container. For birds of prey—hawks, owls, and falcons—gently cover the head with a towel to help them relax, then safely secure their talons while ensuring they can breathe. For injured rabies‑vector species, please contact Animal Control at 806‑775‑2057. If you are bitten by a fox, raccoon, bat, coyote, or bobcat, the animal must be euthanized and tested for rabies.
